In 2019, a collaboration between Cameroonian and Spanish health workers launched an unprecedented medical campaign in western Cameroon, one of the African countries with the weakest public health system. With the collaboration of the Cameroonian doctor Adonis Zogne Djaba and the Andalusian Association for Health Cooperation, the necessary material was sent to equip the 2 operating rooms of the Foumban hospital and a medical team from traumatology, gynecology, surgery, anesthesia, orthopedics, optics traveled to the country and nursing. This team trained hospital staff, performed more than 70 interventions, placed dozens of prostheses and treated hundreds of patients with visual problems.
